Dr. Tom Würdinger awarded Galenus Prize 2014

Dr. Tom Würdinger, Chief Scientific Officer of thromboDx was awarded the Galenus Research Prize 2014. He received the € 5,500 award and a golden medal from Dr. René Bernards, founder of biotech firm Agendia. The award ceremony took place during the Dutch Medicines Days 2014 in Ede, NL. Würdinger was selected by the jury for his excellent work on identifying drug targets and markers in tumors and blood.


The jury commented: ‘Dr. Thomas Würdinger is thé example of an excellent scientist. He is driven by ambition to offer a better treatment and prognosis to patients who suffer from braintumors. Würdinger is also a powerful and persistent personality.’

After receiving the prestigious award, Dr. Würdinger held a presentation for the audience with the title: “Understanding the biology of brain cancer is key to the identification of new therapeutics and diagnostistics”
